Shona style marimba Shona style marimbas are a diatonic marimba used to play the music of the Shona people of Zimbabwe. You can distinguish a Shona marimba by the larger keys for a louder sound and the buzzy resonator tubes. The frames have folding legs and detachable resonator tubes. They can be made with or without F#'s and in equal temperament or just intonation tuning. I make lead soprano, soprano, alto, tenor, baritone, or bass Shona style marimba. See prices below. |
